This play is a one-man comedy with almost 40 characters. A few of my favorites
are in this clip.
Sam Peliczowski is at the start of a very bad day at his day job: he's one of three
reservationists for the hottest restaurant in New York, and the other two didn't show up. He's also an actor,
hoping to get a callback for a show at Lincoln Center.

Another one-man play with almost forty characters, this one a Pulitzer Prize-winning
drama. It's the story of Charlotte Von Mahlsdorf, an elderly East German transvestite who survived the Nazi and
Communist regimes with a combination of cleverness and deceit.
In this scene, "Vaterland", Charlotte
tells playwright Doug Wright about her troubled relationship to her father.
